Office Jobs

When it comes to Office Support, we have what you need.
General Clerical Support
Basic computer skills; some employers require basic skills in MS Word and Excel. Typing speed between 30 and 50 wpm, data entry skills, both alpha numeric as well as numeric, filing skills, experience working on the telephone and supporting other positions within their company.
Office Clerk
Basic general office skills, typing, filing, data entry - alpha and numeric, some computer skills and possibly some telephone experience.
Data Entry
Alpha numeric skills for data base entry, numeric data entry or 10-keying for invoicing, billing, or basic data entry of information regarding clients, daily operations and follow up.
Customer Support
Experience with a learned product skill to be able to discuss customer orders, questions, locate orders, follow-up on orders, good telephone skills experience. These positions also usually require data entry skills as well for follow up, sometimes typing is required for putting together proposals or quotations.
Call Center
Heavy phone volume experience handling customer calls or making outbound calls to get vital information. Data entry and minimal computer skills are usually required.
Receptionist
Experience answering and routing incoming telephone calls, knowledge of voice mail. Some clients prefer face-to-face client exposure meeting and greeting. Usually computer skills or data entry experience is required to do overflow work that can be done while sitting at the reception desk.
Secretary
Experience providing support for one or more people with typing proposal, correspondence, documents, answering and screening calls, making appointments, keeping calendars. Most times experience in MS products is necessary as well as experience with data entry. Some companies refer to these types of positions as administrative assistants.
Administrative Assistant
This person is usually assisting an executive, providing secretarial support, proofreading and editing documents created by your boss or you, creating/entering information into spreadsheets/keeping calendars/scheduling appointments and managing them/travel arrangements and itineraries/ could involve managing or having support staff report to you. Some companies refer to these positions as secretaries.
Executive Assistant
This person usually provides support for one or two people at the highest level of management in the company. Many times requires experience preparing board meetings/preparing all documents/gathering all documents for board meetings. Taking minutes of meetings, keeping calendars for executives/planning and executing travel arrangements/out of town meetings for small to very large groups of people/itineraries. Must have strong computer skills. Might be required to do Power Point presentations or prepare them.
Office Manager
Supporting a company by being responsible for many of the functions of the office. This might or might not require hiring, and supervising a staff. Office managers are usually versed in many aspects of the office: typing, phone work, appointments, accounting or bookkeeping.
